Making College Affordable

Value. It a small word, but it can mean big things. We would argue that the value of a Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ education far exceeds its price tag. We also recognize that a college education is often one of the most significant investments a family makes. In our view, affordability should not be a barrier to enrollment.

Every student deserves access to an affordable education. We have the resources to make it happen.

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Tuition-Free Guarantee

At Ä¢¹½´«Ã½, we believe cost should never stand in the way of opportunity. Beginning in fall 2026, the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Tuition-Free Guarantee ensures that eligible new first-year and transfer students from North and South Carolina can pursue their education without the burden of tuition debt. Families with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $100,000 or less, according to the FAFSA, automatically qualify, making a nationally recognized Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ education more accessible than ever.

This transformational program covers 100 percent of undergraduate tuition through a combination of federal, state and institutional grants and scholarships”no loans required. It the big question on every prospective college student mind: how much is tuition and room and board?

The cost of attendance is determined based on what financial aid you receive (scholarships, grants, loans, etc.) and your expected family contribution.
